Gentlemen,


                         I've loosely been reading Hitler's Eagles while playing BOS trying to get a better understanding of the time period and equipment used. I came across this earlier today and thought it was really interesting. Basically the mortars were used to break up flights of bombers so that when a flight of fighters went to engage, the bombers were spread too far apart and couldn't throw out a wall of lead for opposing airmen.
